Sidestream Phosphate Removal using the Crystalactor Process
Since 1995 all waterboards in the Netherlands have to comply with effluent standards for phosphorus of 1 to 2 mg/l. The Crystalactor process is a fluid-bed type of crystalliser in which phosphate is removed and recovered from the wastewater while phosphate pellets are produced.
