The goal of this project was to remove simultaneously four different metal ions from industrial waste water. The project was divided in three steps:
- shaking experiments (this is simple liquid-liquid-extraction) to choose the type of extractant(s), the feed pH and the strip solution.
- Experiments on flat sheet membranes to have a first impression of the kinetics of SLM.
- Labscale experiments using 1,4 m² tubular modules.
