The Belgian Membrane Society (BMG) is a close partnership between research centres and industry which focusses om the development of membranetechnology. Initiators for this partnership are watercircle.be, VITO and the Membrane Technology Group (MTG) at KU Leuven which emphasize the importance of a mature separation technique like membrane technology for our economy.

In Flanders, companies are more and more familiar with this technology and more examples of real applications are gradually becoming available. However, the technology is still evolving and, like any new technology, it must overcome a degree of suspicion. The Belgian Membrane Group wants to be a forum for current and future users.
